Leaving Denali was hard. We could have spent more time there. As we left, we stopped by the Princess Lodge where we were 25 years ago on our honeymoon.
As with everywhere, the views on the drive were great.
The drive north toward Fairbanks was noneventful as there was not a lot of other vehicles. Though the one moose that was running alongside the road got our afternoon. We did have our first injury. In an extremely pot hole ridden gasstation lot, two things went airborne and headed to the floor. Well, they came together to become one.
Our campground is actually in North Pole, Alaska, just on the edge of Fairbanks. Well before we even checked in, we had to go see the biggest attraction at the North Pole, Santa's House.
