North of Fairbanks about 60 miles is the Chena Hot Springs. While all paved, the winters have made this an interesting drive with a lot of dips in the road. They also have an Ice Museum where ice sculptors have made a bar, a jousting battle, a coupe ice hotel rooms, an igloo, a chapel, a fireplace and dinner table, and all the accessories. At the bar, only Appletinis are served but in an ice glass. Oh by the way, the tour guide/ bartender did an unofficial renewal of our vows in the ice chapel.

After the drinking of the Appletini, their tradition is you smash the glass like at a Greek wedding. And we did.
Then off with the cold weather great and into swim suits for the hot springs.
Then after the hot springs, it was back in the car for the bumpy ride back.
